How does Faturium reconcile my bank transactions?

Import a statement via Transactions (Import). Faturium scores candidate links between bank lines and your receipts using matching amount and date, and e-Fatura QR data when present. It suggests the best candidates on Transactions; you confirm or reject each one before anything is linked.

Which bank formats can I import?

Transactions (Import): select a bank preset that matches your export (Portuguese, Spanish and French banks are listed) or Generic (CSV), PDF — statement from any bank, Excel / XLSX — any bank. No API is required.

How does receipt OCR work?

Photograph a receipt or upload a PDF on Receipts. OCR extracts vendor, tax ID, date, amount and VAT; e-Fatura QR codes are read instantly when present. Uncertain fields open a short confirmation dialog.

Is my VAT calculated automatically?

On Pro and above, Tax summarises VAT on your classified expenses and the tax coach helps you set aside VAT and income tax for PT, ES and FR. Figures come from your own ledger data and published rules — always confirm with your accountant.

How does the Google Drive import work?

Connect under Settings → Google Drive. On Expenses, Import from Drive (Pick invoice files from your Drive.) — Faturium downloads the files you pick, runs OCR and adds them to your ledger. The same Import from Drive on Transactions (Import) pulls bank statement PDFs or CSVs into a bank import. When you confirm a receipt on Receipts, Faturium automatically files a copy in your Drive if you are connected. Pro includes Automatic Drive import: Drop your BANK STATEMENTS (PDF or CSV) into a Google Drive folder and Faturium imports them automatically into the chosen account as TRANSACTIONS. This is different from the Drive sync above, which imports invoices/receipts into your expenses. Faturium only reads the folder — it never creates, moves or deletes anything.

Is Faturium GDPR-compliant? Where is my data stored?

All data is processed and stored in the EU. Faturium acts as the data controller for account and service data, as described in our privacy policy (/legal/privacy). Export or delete your data anytime from Settings → Data and privacy (GDPR). We never sell your data.

Can I share access with my accountant?

Yes, on the Business plan. Invite collaborators from Settings → Contributors; give your accountant the Viewer role so they can read reports without editing transactions.

What is the e-Fatura integration?

When you scan or upload a receipt that includes a Portuguese e-Fatura QR code, Faturium reads it instantly to pre-fill vendor, NIF, date and amounts — no manual typing and no separate AT login in the app.

How does Faturium handle expenses I paid from my personal account?

Pro includes Reimbursements: log personal-paid expenses, attach receipts, and track what the company owes you. When the reimbursement hits your bank account, match the transaction to clear the balance.

What happens if OCR misreads a receipt?

Low-confidence fields open a confirmation dialog with the rest pre-filled. Fix only what is wrong before saving.

Can I export my data for a tax audit?

Use Export my data under Settings → Data and privacy (GDPR) for a full JSON export anytime. Business plans also include Audit-pack exports for accountant-ready packs. Keep your own copies of source files you import.
